This week saw the eagerly awaited debut trailer of the return of IMF agent Ethan Hunt. Check out the footage for yourself but if you're too lazy to click play then simply scroll here to read the highlights.
0mins 14secs - Most of the Kremlin is destroyed by a CGI bomb (the worst type) 0mins 22secs - Tom Wilkinson explains Ghost Protocol to us, reveals that the IMF is being blamed and that if any agents are caught they will be ball deep in trouble. 0mins 48secs - First shot of Tommy Cruise and we can gauge how good the film will be by how long Tom's hair happen to be? Well it's longer than MI3 but not as filthy as MI2. So now you know.
0mins 50secs - Guitar riff accompanies contractual "your missions should you choose" line so we don't think we're watching 007.
0mins 53secs - OMG its like some kind of exclusive hollywood iPad made for missions with impossible outcomes. It shall now be known as MiPad.
1min 1sec - Quick shots of common MI touches such as long female legs exiting a fancy car, rented tuxedos to infiltrate private parties and a wire stunt very similar to the original. However the trailer reached it's peak at 54secs and will only save itself with more MiPad action.
1min 7secs - A tagline runs through asking us to 'rethink the impossible' and I have decided to do just that.
1min 11secs - The soundtrack ramps up with Teen Choice Award nominee rapper Eminem while Ethan Hunt shows off some sweet close combat combos....just like Jason Bourne.
1min 18secs - I have already begun creating a facebook fan page for the MiPad...meanwhile Ethan shoots at baddies whilst falling off a roof.
1min 31secs - Simon Pegg aims handgun at unknown assailant but looks scared. Maybe the whole movie revolves around the theft of the MiPad and hidden inside is the beta version of Angry Birds 2.
1min 36secs - TC ducks from a car hurtling mid-air towards him......just like Die hard 4.0 hmmmm.
1min 38secs - Finally some acting between Cruise and Jeremy Renner, who states "we all have our secrets Ethan". He must have the MiPad! HIT HIS FACE MAVERICK!
1min 52secs - Acting over. Back to ripping off other recent blockbusters. TC is chillin on the worlds tallest skyscraper.....just like The Dark knight.
1min 58secs - Some more of Pegg showing TC some gadget tech to help him retrieve the MiPad with a dollop of humour injected in.....just like James Bond.
End - Revamped theme tune to wrap trailer up to help us understand everything we saw was entirely original Mission Impossible ideas and that no plagiarism was used.
